Day 1
Wednesday, November 13

Depart the Detroit area for Cambridge, Ohio. Enjoy a stop at Carousel Works in Mansfield, Ohio. Carousel Works is the largest manufacturer of wooden carousels in the world. At present, Carousel Works is the only company in the world with the in-house capability to manufacture wooden carousels from design to installation.

Enjoy lunch on your own in Mansfield. Continue to Malabar Farms, a 1000 acre farm with a Big House. This is a historic landmark since 1939 and now it is a State Park. As we tour the building owned by Pulitzer Prize write Louis Bromfield, be sure to notice the suite where Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall spent their honeymoon. Louis Bromfield was an organic and self-sustaining gardener who wanted to keep farming alive. Our next stop is at Landoll's Mohican Castle for dinner. Enjoy the stately majesty of times past in a luxurious castle, located in central Ohio. Continue to Cambridge for a 2 night stay and get ready for the next day's activities.

Day 2
Thursday, November 14

Breakfast is included. Help celebrate the 50th anniversary of when John Glenn walked on the moon. This morning visit the John and Annie Glenn Home and museum in New Concord, Ohio. Just a piece down the road is the National Road Zane Grey Museum that is decorated with at least 25 Christmas trees. This is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Lunch on your own. Meet our Cambridge Ambassador. Visit the Dickens Victorian Village Welcome Center in Cambridge. Learn the story of how Dickens Victorian Village began and the process for creating the unique "characters". Stroll the streets viewing the mannequin scenes and visit the unique shops before stopping by to see a superb collection of Cambridge Glassware produced by the Cambridge Glass Company from 1902 to 1958. Tonight we have dinner at the Country Club with Queen Victoria. Return to the hotel after an exciting day.

Day 3
Friday, November 15

Breakfast is included. This morning make a stop at one of Cambridge's favorite places; Kennedy's Bakery. Better get something to take home for tomorrow, if it makes it that far. Our next stop is to enjoy a coal miner's Christmas with a real coal miner and also enjoy a one-room school house lesson with an old fashioned teacher. Lunch is included at Mr. Lee's restaurant and then we depart for home.
