Travel to Tucson and Overnight.
Our luxury Gray Line Motorcoach will leave Tucson at 9:00 A.M. heading west on Highway 86 towards the Lukeville/Sonoita Border. Here all passengers will obtain their tourist visas before entering Mexico. Afterwards we proceed to Peñasco del Sol Hotel, our home for all 3 nights. Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. Travel the backroads to Phoenix through Florence Arizona, a time steeped in history and wonder. One of the oldest towns in Arizona, Florence is both the historical and cultural center of Pinal County. Visit St. Anthony’s Greek Monastery. In 1995 six Athonite monks arrived in the Sonoran Desert to start a new monastery. Upon their arrival the fathers began with the necessary construction work, building first the main church, living quarters for the monks, the dining hall, and guest facilities. A vegetable garden, a small vineyard, citrus orchards, and an olive grove dot the landscape. An elaborate system of gardens, pathways, and gazebos with Spanish fountains truly render the monastery and its extensive grounds an oasis in the desert.
Lunch is on your own at Mt. Athos café. Florence is an 1870s silver mining boomtown, Florence’s true wild west heritage of stage coach robberies, shoot outs and even a former Civil War spy, comes alive for you. Learn about Florence’s connection to the Madison Square Garden rodeos and Gene Autry. Western film star Tom Mix visited Florence often and was killed nearby.

Discover why University of Phoenix Stadium is recognized as one of the top multi-purpose sports & entertainment facilities in the country and a marvel of engineering, technology, and design. Fun for guests of all ages, stadium tours are informative, educational, insightful, and enjoyable for sports fans and non-fans alike. This afternoon the tour manager will have a fun activity for everyone, or you can get a head start on your winter tan at the hotel.
Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. Travel to Lake Havasu, home of the London Bridge. It is Arizona’s second most visited attraction. A man bought it from London and had it shipped in pieces to Lake Havasu where he spent another $7 million to have it reconstructed. After some free time in Lake Havasu continue to Laughlin and check into the Golden Nugget for the evening. Laughlin is on the Western shores of the Colorado River with Arizona on the east side.
Enjoy a morning river cruise and take time to see some of Don Laughlin’s Vintage Cars. Lunch is on your own. Visit Historic Oatman, Arizona, an authentic western Ghost Town and Mining Camp on Main Street USA Historic Route 66 Chicago to LA. It is a timeless and iconic stop. Watch out for the burros that roam the downtown. Continue to Las Vegas and tour the Neon Graveyard. Check into the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience. With its 70 million light canopy, it is sure to mesmerize. A light tour of Las Vegas is included this evening.
Transfer to Las Vegas Airport and fly home.
