This morning depart for Chicago and arrive in the early afternoon. Our first stop is at Macy’s Department Store. Enjoy a tour of the store where you’ll see their 45-foot-tall Christmas tree, which sparkles with 3,000 ornaments and 6,000 LED lights.

Check into the Historic Palmer House hotel and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

This evening Head to the Lincoln Park Zoo to see the lights (and maybe a few animals) at this annual winter tradition. Enjoy ice carving demonstrations, hot beverages and ice skating on the zoo's rink.

Day 2
Tuesday, December 18

After an included breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a tour of Downtown Chicago. This morning, visit Loyola University for a spectacular display of Nativity Scenes from all over the world.

This afternoon is free for you to do some Christmas shopping on the Magnificent Mile and/or visit the world-famous Chriskindlmarket. Chicago's largest holiday open-air market is a favorite of locals and tourists alike. Inspired by a Nuremberg, Germany, market that was founded in 1545, this market features iconic German items like nutcrackers, cuckoo clocks and beer steins, as well as hand-blown ornaments and wooden handicrafts. Authentic food (sausages, sauerkraut, potato pancakes, waffles) and drink (beer and Glühwein, a traditional hot spiced wine) are also available, along with assorted sweets.

This evening you have the option of seeing a Broadway Performance or a Christmas show (prices vary). Overnight at the Palmer House Hotel

Day 3
Wednesday, December 19

After an included breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a free morning in Chicago to explore the city or get in some last-minute shopping.

This morning you have the option of visiting the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry for their special exhibit “Christmas around the World.” It began in 1942 with a single tree. Today, the Museum’s beloved annual celebration features a four-story, floor-to-dome Grand Tree, surrounded by a forest of more than 50 trees and displays decorated by volunteers to represent the holiday traditions from cultures around the globe. It’s the one-of-a-kind experience that brings a whole world of holiday joy under one roof. ($20 per person)

Enjoy a gourmet lunch at Lawry’s Steakhouse before returning home.
