Step back in time as you experience the Underground Railroad Living Museum Flight to Freedom Tour, a guided tour of the Doorway to Freedom and a visit to the Charles Wright Museum of African American History.
At the First Congregational Church of Detroit, experience a storytelling re-enactment of the original Underground Railroad passage that operated between 1840 and 1863. On the tour you will be "shackled" with wrist bands at the entrance of the tour and begin your journey by entering through "The Door of No Return" on Goree Island in Africa.
Visit the Detroit Historical Museum for a guided tour of the Doorway to Freedom exhibit.
Explore the Charles Wright Museum of African American History on a self-guided tour as well.
