Day 1
Wednesday, November 18

Today drive to the Tara –A Country Inn in Sharon, PA. Yes, it looks just like Tara in “Gone With the Wind.” Enjoy the beautiful grounds and a tour of the house peeking into some of the elaborately furnished guest rooms. The guide is in Antebellum Costume. Feast on a elegant and bountiful buffet. Continue for a chocolate tour and then visit the Avenue of 444 Flags with an interpreter. This is in memory of the hostages that were held in Iran in the 1980’s. Dinner will be at the hotel consisting of Amish Wedding Soup and Croissants. (L,D)

Day 2
Thursday, November 19

At the Wendell August Forge factory see how artisans in Pennsylvania for nearly a century, craft gifts which are unique symbols of the stories, traditions and milestones that bind us together. Each piece is etched and handwrought using a process with roots in ancient metalworking techniques. A Boxed lunch is included. Meet Rusty at Diamond Deer Ranch, which rescues deer and has done so for over 25 years. Continue to Scripture Rocks Heritage Park where a gentleman has engraved Bible Verses on stones in a woodland area. Arrive in Punxsutawney, PA for a guided tour learning about the groundhog at Gobbler’s Knob. Enjoy dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 3
Friday, November 20

Spend the day in Indiana, PA. This is the home of Jimmy Stewart and our day will circle around the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” along with things that are all about Jimmy Stewart, tours, museums, meals, etc. Enjoy being the guests of honor and riding in the evening Parade on a float! The whole town celebrates this day. (B,D)

Day 4
Saturday, November 21

Our coffee break today is at McDonald’s Big Mac Museum. Continue to the Duquesne

Incline, a Funicular in Pittsburgh with a tour of upper station and a ride. From there visit the Strip District for lunch on your own. Lined with converted warehouses, the hip Strip District has a vibrant mix of old-style grocers and gourmet food shops, street stands selling produce and t-shirts, classic Italian eateries and sandwich places. Depart for home about 2:30 pm and arrive

about 7:00 pm. (B)
