Niagara Getaway

Niagara Falls is a geological wonder and one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. Straddling the border between the United States and Canada, it has been a popular tourist attraction for over 200 years.  Also visit Niagara-on-the-Lake and see if you experience the effect that so many describe as a feeling that’s difficult to put your finger on, but it all starts with agricultural roots, stunning vistas and the Heritage District.

(Tour lasts 2.5 hours) After the Hornblower ride or the bus tour ride, check into the hotel about 4 pm. Dinner tonight is at the Skylon Tower. This tower makes a complete rotation in one hour, and our dinner lasts about that long. The rest of the evening you are free to enjoy the falls and other things that Niagara offers. You may decide to try your luck at one of the casinos. Overnight at the Holiday Inn

by the Falls. (D)

Day 2
Wednesday, May 6

Breakfast included at the hotel a la carte (lunch is early). Travel along the Niagara Parkway towards Niagara-on-the-Lake and make a stop at the famous Floral Clock. The intricate designs on the face of the Floral Clock are created with up to 16,000 carpet bedding plants and are changed twice each year. Mid-morning make a stop at the Konzelmann Estate Winery where you will begin your mini-wine tour of this area that is famous for their wines. This winery is Niagara’s exclusive lake front winery situated on Lake Ontario. Lunch today is included at the Old Winery Restaurant. After lunch, continue your wine tour for a tasting at Peller Estates Winery. This afternoon check into the Prince of Wales Hotel. This is a vintage hotel where every room is different and it is right in Niagara-on-the-Lake town. This hotel will definitely be a highlight of your trip!

After check in you have time to browse the town, or just enjoy the hotel. Niagara-on-the-Lake is

known as the “Culinary Capital of Canada” for its outstanding selection of dining experiences.

You are free to have dinner on your own tonight in one of the many restaurants located downtown. Our show tonight is at the Festival Theater, (within walking distance of the hotel) and it is entitled “Gypsy.” Starry-eyed and blindingly ambitious, Momma Rose pushes her daughters onto vaudeville stages in this landmark Broadway musical.
