Depart this morning and overnight at the Turning Stone Casino & Resort, Verona, NY. Tonight dinner is on your own at the property, which features many different restaurants.

Wednesday, October 4, 2023

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the Boston area. This afternoon visit Yankee Candle Village. From the inviting displays of their newest fragrances and familiar favorites, to home décor accessories, you'll experience America's best-loved candles firsthand. Lunch is on your own. This afternoon check into Double Tree Inn, Andover, MA. Dinner is included at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Thursday, October 5, 2023

Breakfast is included at the hotel. This morning take the Amtrak Downeaster to Maine. Meet up with a local guide and take a narrated driving tour of the coastal villages of Kennebunk & Kennebunkport. Drive past the sandy beaches and rocky coastline, sneak a peek at the George Bush estate at Walker's Point. Lunch is on your own in Dock Square. This afternoon your guide will take you to Perkins Cove, where you'll find the start of the Marginal Way Shoreline Walking Path with benches to sit and watch the surf, a pretty drawbridge, boutiques and bobbing lobster boats. Check into the Meadowmere Resort, Ogunquit, Maine. Tonight is an included Maine Lobster Dinner (a chicken and a vegetarian option is available as well) (B,D)

Friday, October 6, 2023

Travel to New Hampshire after an included breakfast at the hotel. Board the Conway Scenic Railway where you'll travel on what was once the Maine Central Railroad's famed Mountain Division line, on tracks that were laid in the 1870s. Enjoy some of the most dramatic natural scenery in the East as you travel through Crawford Notch, past sheer bluffs, steep ravines, mountain vistas, across Frankenstein Trestle and Willey Brook Bridge en-route to Crawford Station. Live commentary onboard includes history and folklore of the railroad and area. A box lunch is included on the train. Continue touring through the White Mountains to view the best of New Hampshire's fall foliage. Check into the Mountain Club on Loon Resort, Lincoln, NH for a two-night stay. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Saturday, October 7, 2023

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your local guide for a day of touring. Start out on a Mount Washington Lake Cruise to Winnipesauke for a scenic one-way ride. Your journey on the ship brings you to the port of Wolfeboro, the oldest summer resort in America. Stop at the Wright Museum, a non-profit educational institution dedicated to recognizing and honoring the contributions and enduring legacy of WWII-era Americans. Free time and lunch on your own in the delightful lakeside resort town of Wolfeboro. This evening, board the Winnipesauke Railroad Turkey Dinner Train. Enjoy a two-hour trip while eating Hart's Hot Roast Turkey carved at your table with all the trimmings. Overnight at the Mountain Club Loon Resort. (B,D)

Breakfast is included at the hotel. Depart for Vermont this morning. Make a stop at the Vermont Country Store. Today the store is owned by Lyman Orton and his sons who are 7th and 8th generation Vermonters. Merchants of the Vermont Country Store search throughout the nation and abroad to find goods that fill the needs of the American and International customers alike. Lunch is included at Publyk House. After lunch, visit the Norman Rockwell Museum. See many of the illustrator's works in original oil paintings at your own pace. Enjoy gallery talks and explore the gift shop. Dinner is included at a local restaurant. Check into the Berkshires of Western, MA for the night. (B,L,D)

Day 7
Monday, October 9, 2023

After breakfast at the hotel, travel to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame’s collections contain more than 40,000 three-dimensional artifacts – such as bats, balls, gloves and uniforms – donated by players and fans who want to see history preserved. The Museum’s curators use the artifacts – whose number grows by about 400 each year – to tell the story of the National Pastime through exhibits. Lunch is on your own. Depart and travel to the Fingerlakes region of New York for a Wine Tasting at the Fingerlakes Welcome Center. Check in the Holiday Inn Express, Rochester before dinner to freshen up. Dinner is included at a local restaurant. (B,D)
