Arrive Akron, OH and check into the Embassy Suites Hotel.

Day 2
June 21, 2022

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Dover, OH on a deluxe motor coach. Make an unbelievable stop at Famous Endings. No description here because you wouldn’t believe it any way. Next, enjoy the Homestead Furniture Factory Tour which combines craftmanship of the Amish with state of the art cutting edge design. Enjoy an authentic Amish Church Lunch experience at the event center which also boasts beautiful landscaping. After lunch, visit the Lamp and Light Candle shop and watch the Amish ladies demonstrate how (in 6 minutes) they carve candles into beautiful works of art! Browse the quaint store filled with delicious smelling jar candles and so much more! See and hear the world’s largest Cuckoo clock in Sugarcreek. OH. Check into Carlisle Inn with some free time to see garden and shops nearby. You are in for a treat at Warther’s. Enjoy a private tour, dinner, gardens, and Mrs. Warther’s Button House. Warthers features the fabulous ivory and ebony steam engine carvings by the World’s master Carver, Mooney Warther. Then stroll through the Swiss Gardens to view over 70,000 buttons arranged in quilt pattern artwork. The family now creates the finest kitchen cutlery in the world. You will have an opportunity to purchase some. This is truly an unforgettable evening. (B,L,D)

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your local guide in for an Ohio Country Roads Tour including visits to several Amish cottage industries, where you will meet the makers and enjoy making your own treats to take home! Start with Walnut Creek Farm and a one hour wagon ride through the beautiful 120 acre working Amish Farm. Feed animals from 6 different continents, then enjoy visiting the Amish home for a treat in the kitchen, Lunch is on your own today in the bustling city of Berlin, OH. Armed with your map, visit as many arts and crafts, restaurants, and boutique shops as time permits. Save room for some sweets at Troyer's Homemade Candies. The first floor is dedicated to the cottage shop. Make your own Buckeyes today. Heini's Cheese Chalet for the finest cheeses made with local Amish farm milk! You won’t see this many cheeses anywhere else. Savor delicious cheeses and enjoy the lovely outdoor patio! Meet another Troyer family member at the Coblenz Leather Goods Shop. (B)

Day 4
June 23, 2022

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the Indiana Amish area. Compare the differences and the similarities. Upon arrival make a Quilted Note Card. Take basic quilt block components which are precut and arrange them to create a quilt frock for the front of your card. No experience necessary. Check into the Essenhaus Inn in Middlebury, IN. For dinner tonight enjoy a delightful Amish Wedding Feast in “The Carriage House.” Learn about an Amish wedding day including the dress and the Wedding song. (B,D)

June 24, 2022

Breakfast at Essenhaus Inn. Enjoy a factory tour at Jayco RV Manufacturing. 80% of the world’s RVs are made in this area of IN, chiefly by the Amish people. Next, visit the museum. See the custom built RV for Mae West and listen to folklore and stories from the past plus much more. This evening it is a special treat at the Essenhaus. The Classic Cruise Night features over 200 cars and trucks plus entertainment. No interest in cars, enjoy the beautiful hotel. Take your gift certificate and enjoy a meal on the grounds. (B,D)

Day 6
June 25, 2022

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your Country Roads tour of Indiana featuring Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail. Packed into 16 giant gardens are 150,000 plants with over 1 million blooms in the Old Order Amish areas. Make a stop at Coppes Common for a Hoosier Cabinet Exhibit. Save room for some “out of this world” Rocket Science Ice cream. Tour an Amish Buggy Maker’s Shop and visit the Gardens in Wakarusa and shop for old-fashioned candy. Emma Shrock better known as the Grandma Moses of Indiana captured the Old Order Mennonite way of life and the paintings are now on display. This evening enjoy a family style dinner then enjoy a show that promises to give you chuckles and heartfelt memories of a pleasant escape in the country. (B,D)
