Day 1
Sunday, November 12, 2023

Begin our day in Michigan headed East to NYC. Overnight in Danville, Pa to position ourselves to arrive about noon in NYC tomorrow, “the city that never sleeps.”

Day 2
Monday, November 13, 2023

Breakfast included at hotel. Continue East. Travel across the George Washington Bridge and make the first stop at Rockefeller Center. Enjoy lunch on your own amidst the dominating buildings, the bustling of people, and the wonder of it all. Meet with our local guide, Joe, who grew up in NYC and knows more about NYC than he could tell us in a month. He also knows a lot of people and loves to share his secrets. Enjoy a city tour through major neighborhoods of interest, starting with Rockefeller Center, then to 5th Ave, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Chinatown, Greenwich Village, Soho, Central Park, and Lincoln Center. We will see as much as time and traffic allow. Check into our hotel located right in Times Square. Enjoy some free time in the evening. You might want to walk to the Times Square bleachers and just take in the sights. Perhaps you'll spot the naked cowboy! (B)

Day 3
Tuesday, November 14, 2023

Breakfast is on your own at one of the many restaurants near the hotel. This morning, meet the group in the hotel lobby and we will walk a few short blocks to the subway at 49th and 7th Ave. After a 10 minute ride to Herald Square, we'll walk 3/4 block to the Empire State Building. Take an included ride to the 86th floor to enjoy the sights on the outdoor observation deck. From there, Macy’s Flagship Store is a 6 minute walk. Enjoy lunch and allow the guide to show you some interesting facts about this historic store. Established in 1858, it is the Great American Department Store—an iconic retailing brand. A short 9 minute (.4 mile) walk brings us to the 250 year old Bryant Park and its Winter Village and Christmas Market. Return to the hotel, a 9 min. walk or short subway ride away. Tonight enjoy dinner with the group at a local restaurant. After dinner, enjoy a quiet evening in your room, or visit the always bustling Times Square. (Today walk a total of one-two miles between 9 am—4 pm.) (D)

Day 4
Wednesday, November 15, 2023

Breakfast on own and a free morning. This afternoon we can arrange an optional afternoon Horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park. (weather permitting) Dinner is early at another local restaurant close to the hotel. You'll still have time for an optional 8:00 pm Broadway Performance. (D)

Day 5
Thursday, November 16, 2023

Breakfast is included at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, home of the Original World-Famous Singing Waitstaff: The Stardusters! Enjoy the Multi-level '50s-themed diner and a fun filled breakfast. Free time until this evenings performance. The included 7:00 pm show “New York, New York” is playing at the historic St. James Theatre. The setting is in 1946, the war is over, and a resurgent New York is beginning to rebuild. As steel beams swing overhead, a collection of artists has dreams as big and diverse as the city itself. Among them is New York native Jimmy Doyle, a brilliant but disillusioned musician looking for his “major chord” in life: music, money, love. The odds are against him getting all three until he meets Francine Evans, a young singer just off the bus from Philly, who is destined for greatness. If they can make it there, they can make it anywhere. (B)

Day 6
Friday, November 17, 2023

Breakfast on your own and check out of the hotel by 9:30 am. The group will walk the length of one block to the included performance of the famous Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Lunch today is included at Junior’s Cheesecake. After lunch we begin our journey back home with an overnight at the same hotel we enjoyed on Day 1. (L)

Day 7
