Day 1
Friday, October 20, 2023

Depart Southgate with your tour leader and make your way to Washington, DC. Upon arrival, check into your hotel just outside of the D.C. area. Holiday Inn Express Fairfax. A group dinner is included tonight at PJ Skidoos. (D)

Day 2
Saturday, October 21, 2023

After an included breakfast at the hotel, depart for a full day of touring. Stop at Arlington Cemetery to see the grounds via the Tram, including the Women in the Military Memorial. View one of the largest bronze statues ever cast. the Marine Corps War Memorial's Iwo Jima Statue. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Reagan Building. This afternoon, depart for the Capitol Visitor's Center which is located underground on the east side of the Capitol. You will also visit the U.S. Capitol and the U.S. Library of Congress. Tour the outside of the Supreme Court Building and make a photo stop at the White House. View the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial and the Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial. Visit the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - a living memorial to JFK. An Italian family-style dinner is included tonight at Pinstripes followed by a night driving tour of the illuminated monuments which include the Air Force Memorial, The Pentagon, Jefferson Memorial, Marine Corps Memorial, the Capitol, White House and the Washington Monument. Day 3
Sunday, October 22, 2023

Following an included breakfast, depart for visits to some of the memorials including the National World War II Memorial, The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Continue to the Smithsonian Institution to visit any of the museums which include the National Air & Space Museum, the National Museum of American History, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Museum of African Art, the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden and the National Gallery of Art. You may also choose to visit the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the National Archives. which contains the original Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. You can enjoy lunch on your own at any of the Smithsonian's cafeterias. This evening enjoy an included dinner at Gadsby's Tavern in Old Town Alexandria, a fine dining establishment serving lunch and dinner since 1785 and frequented by the founding fathers including George Washington, himself. Monday, October 23, 2023

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for home with lasting memories of your stay in Washington, D.C. (B)
