Despite its modest population of 2000, Ferdinand transforms into a bustling hub during this special weekend, drawing folks from far and wide. Your adventure commences in Muncie, IN, where the charming Twigs and Tea Room welcomes you for a delightful plated lunch amidst unique shopping opportunities. Following lunch, journey to Jasper, IN and settle into the Fairfield Inn, conveniently located on the waterfront. Dinner awaits at Schnitzelbank, treating you to authentic German cuisine to set the tone for the days ahead. (L,D)

Day 2
Friday, November 15

Breakfast is included at the hotel. Venture to Dr. Ted’s Musical Marvels museum, a treasure trove of antique musical instruments and collectibles. Marvel at the intricacies of the Caliola and immerse yourself in the nostalgia of bygone eras. Continue your exploration to Santa Claus, IN, a town steeped in whimsy and tradition. Visit the quaint museum and the old Post Office housing the renowned Magic Mail Box, where Christmas wishes come to life. Lunch beckons at St. Benedict Brew Works, offering a delectable pizza and salad luncheon, accompanied by their famed home brewed root beer. Afterward, delve into history at the Ferdinand Monastery, a testament to Benedictine heritage and architectural grandeur. As evening descends, join the opening ceremonies at the Monastery, where the illuminated grounds cast a spellbinding aura. (B,L)

Saturday, November 16

Breakfast is included at the hotel. Join in the holiday fun at the Christkindlmarkt. Enjoy the delights of Christmas in an Olde World Setting! In Germany, Christmas wares and gifts were sold in the festivalstyle setting of Christkindlmarkt. The custom began in the 14th Century and continues to day in the charming “Bavarian” village of Ferdinand, Indiana, the only town in the world named after Ferdinand I of Austria. Countless booths will be lavishly decorated and brimming with high-quality handmade items. Enjoy regional food & wine as you stroll through the markets. A sit down dinner is planned for you at the Legacy Steakhouse before we return to Ferdinand for a concert called “Sounds of the Season” by the Evansville Philharmonic. (B,D)

Day 4
Sunday, November 17

Bid farewell to Ferdinand with a final breakfast at the hotel. You may choose to attend a Catholic church service or extend your exploration of the Christkindlmarkt. Gather your memories and board the coach for the journey homeward, cherishing the moments of enchantment and camaraderie shared during this unforgettable tour. (B)
