Day 1
Tuesday, September 29

Rolling Into Adventure (L) - Our autumn journey begins as we depart Southgate and head east toward Syracuse, New York. Enjoy a relaxing day of travel with comfort stops and time to get to know your fellow travelers. Upon arrival, check in to the Hilton Garden Inn East Syracuse for your overnight stay. The hotel offers an indoor pool, whirlpool, and guest rooms with microwaves, mini-fridges, and free WiFi. Dinner is on your own tonight at the hotel restaurant or a nearby local restaurant.

Day 2
Wednesday, September 30

Railroad Dining & White Mountains Arrival (B, L, D) - After breakfast, continue east to Massachusetts for lunch at The Steaming Tender, a railroad-themed restaurant in a restored 19th-century train station. Savor classic New England fare as you dine surrounded by railroad history. This afternoon, travel into New Hampshire’s White Mountains, where autumn colors are in full bloom. Check in for a four-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln. Tonight, enjoy a relaxing group dinner at a local favorite as we settle into the charm of the mountains.

Day 3
Thursday, October 1

Mt. Washington Cog Railway & Dinner Train (B, L, D) - This morning, ride the Mt. Washington Cog Railway—the world’s first mountain-climbing cog train—for a scenic journey to the summit of New England’s tallest peak. A box lunch is provided on board. After returning to Lincoln, take time to unwind before a special evening aboard the Café Lafayette Dinner Train. Dine on a five-course gourmet meal as you ride in a vintage Pullman car through the forested Pemigewasset River Valley.

Day 4
Friday, October 2

Scenic Touring & The Kancamagus Highway (B, D) - After breakfast, meet your local guide for a day exploring New Hampshire’s Mt. Washington Valley. Ride the Cannon Mountain Tram for panoramic views of four states, then travel through Crawford Notch, famous for its foliage. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in North Conway. This afternoon, travel the Kancamagus Highway, one of America’s most scenic byways, with stops for photos along the way. Dinner is included tonight back in Lincoln.

Day 5
Saturday, October 3

Shaker Heritage & Lake Cruise (B, L, D) - Today begins with breakfast at the hotel before touring Canterbury Shaker Village. Learn about the simple yet innovative Shaker way of life as artisans demonstrate traditional crafts. Next, board the M/S Mount Washington for a cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee with a buffet lunch on board. Visit the Wright Museum of WWII to experience life on the American homefront through interactive exhibits. Return to Lincoln for an included dinner.

Day 6
Sunday, October 4

The Mountaineer & Lake Morey Resort (B, L, D) - After breakfast, board the Mountaineer Scenic Train for a memorable ride through Crawford Notch on the Conway Scenic Railroad. Travel in 1950s-era passenger cars while enjoying views of rivers, valleys, and viaducts. A box lunch is provided on board. This afternoon, continue to Fairlee, Vermont, and check in at the Lake Morey Resort for a two-night stay. Tonight, gather for dinner in the lakefront dining room followed by a bonfire, weather permitting.

Day 7
Monday, October 5

Covered Bridges & Maple Treats (B, L, D) - Start the day with a breakfast buffet before exploring Vermont’s countryside. Stop at Quechee Gorge, known as Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon, and enjoy shopping at Quechee Village. Lunch is included at the historic Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm. This afternoon, visit Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks for a tour and sweet Vermont treat. Return to Lake Morey Resort to relax before gathering for dinner in the resort’s dining room.

Day 8
Tuesday, October 6

Edith Wharton’s Estate & Return to Syracuse (B, L) - After breakfast, make your way to Lenox, Massachusetts, for a guided tour of The Mount, the grand estate of author Edith Wharton. Learn about her literary legacy while exploring the house and gardens. A box lunch is included before returning to Syracuse for your final overnight stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. Dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 9
Wednesday, October 7

Homeward Bound (B) - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before boarding the motorcoach for the journey home. Reflect on a week filled with autumn colors, scenic railways, and New England charm. Expect to return home this evening with lasting memories of lakes, leaves, and locomotives.
