Tap into Frankenmuth’s cultural roots by becoming a German baker this morning. Baking experts will lead you through proper pretzel-rolling techniques and help you along as you build your own pretzel. There’s nothing quite like biting into doughy warm pretzels that you’ve just baked and at the end of the class, you’ll get to enjoy your hot, fresh twisted treats.

After lunch, take some time visit the Castle Shops downstairs or meander outside to shop around the local stores. With an ultra-walkable shopping district dotted by Bavarian architecture, it’s hard to say which you’ll eye up more — the gorgeous storefronts or what’s inside!

Enjoy a fabulous narrated tour of Frankenmuth on the Cass River aboard the family owned 150 passenger authentic paddlewheel riverboat, the Bavarian Belle. Restroom and on-board snacks available.

Tour the historic Woolen Mill. In its original location since 1894, the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill is now one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of wool bedding. Using century old equipment, the Mill’s team take wool and materials sourced in the USA, and hand crafts all natural, wool filled pillows, mattress toppers and comforters.

A chicken luncheon at the Bavarian Inn is included.
