Visit the Fred Rogers Institute where engaging exhibits celebrate the life, legacy, and enduring message of everyone's favorite neighbor, Mister Rogers. See treasured artifacts, familiar puppets, and iconic sweaters while learning how his simple acts of kindness continue to inspire generations.

Next, discover another claim to fame as a local historian shares the delicious story behind the invention of the banana split. Visit the original Banana Split Monument, enjoy a photo stop at the Fred Rogers statue, and indulge in a signature banana split where this beloved dessert first became an American tradition. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a delicious welcome dinner before relaxing at our overnight hotel.

Today showcases many of America's most iconic landmarks. Join our local guide for visits to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and Korean War Veterans Memorial while hearing the remarkable stories behind each.

Continue to George Washington's beloved Mount Vernon estate, beautifully situated along the banks of the Potomac River. Explore the impressive museum galleries before touring Washington's beautifully preserved mansion, where the nation's first president welcomed guests and enjoyed life as a Virginia planter. Stroll the scenic grounds overlooking the river and discover why Mount Vernon remains one of America's most treasured historic homes.

This evening, enjoy dinner on Alexandria's charming waterfront before taking in an unforgettable illuminated driving tour of Washington, D.C. As darkness falls, the city's famous monuments take on an entirely different character, glowing against the night sky as fountains shimmer and memorials become even more striking after sunset.

Saturday, April 10, 2027

Experience the highlight of spring in Washington, D.C. with premium reserved seating at the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. Watch colorful floats, marching bands, cultural performances, balloons, and entertainers pass by during one of the country's most celebrated spring traditions honoring the 1912 gift of Japanese cherry trees to the United States.

This afternoon, board the elegant Odyssey III for an exclusive Cherry Blossom luncheon cruise along the Potomac River. Enjoy a delicious meal, live entertainment, dancing, and panoramic views while celebrating spring with fellow travelers during this festive "Pink Party" experience.

Back on land, enjoy a leisurely guided stroll around the picturesque Tidal Basin, where thousands of delicate cherry blossoms create one of America's most photographed spring landscapes. Along the way, visit the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial, each offering inspiring stories and breathtaking views framed by the beauty of the blossoms (peak bloom is dependent upon Mother Nature).
