Start your day on a relaxing 2 hour lunch cruise aboard The Sandpiper. Travel along the Maumee River where you’ll see stately homes, yacht clubs and some amazing wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch as you ride the gentle waves. Later this afternoon, visit The National Museum of the Great Lakes. This museum tells the awe-inspiring stories of our Great Lakes through breathtaking photography, over 300 incredible artifacts, a number of powerful audiovisual displays and 40 hands-on interactive exhibits. The tales told here span hundreds of years, from the fur traders in the 1600s to the Underground Railroad operators in the 1800s, the rum runners in the 1900s, to the sailors on the thousandfooters sailing today. You will have the opportunity to go aboard the Col. James M Schoonmaker and The Museum Tug Ohio. The Schoonmaker held the title "Queen of the Lakes" until 1914 and carried 12,650 tons of coal from Ohio to Wisconsin on her maiden voyage. The Museum Tug Ohio was originally used as a fire tug in Chicago and was built in 1903.

A picnic lunch is included aboard The Sandpiper.
